How far is our office from Northridge?
From Nordhoff Street and Reseda Boulevard, head south on Reseda past Roscoe and Northridge Hospital Medical Center, turn east on Saticoy Street, and we're a short way along between White Oak Avenue and Balcom Avenue. That's about three miles and 7 to 12 minutes. From the CSUN campus it's about the same, with Zelzah Avenue or Reseda Boulevard south to Saticoy. From the Northridge Fashion Center at Tampa and Nordhoff, take Tampa south to Saticoy and go east, roughly 10 minutes. From the 118, exit Reseda Boulevard and head south about four miles.
Same-day emergency dental care for Northridge patients
Call first, get a held time, come once. Everything is handled in our office on Saticoy Street:
- Toothache relief when the pain has outlasted the ibuprofen
- Emergency extractions, simple and surgical
- Wisdom tooth pain and wisdom tooth extraction, a common call from the student side of Northridge

What an emergency dental visit costs for Northridge patients
The visit starts at $99 for the exam and X-rays for patients paying without insurance; with a PPO plan, they're billed to the plan. After that, our dentist quotes your specific treatment in writing before any work begins. We accept all PPO dental plans, and Cherry, CareCredit and Sunbit financing plus in-house payment plans are available. - From Nordhoff and Reseda Boulevard: south on Reseda Boulevard about two miles to Saticoy, then east.

- From the Northridge Fashion Center and Tampa Avenue: Tampa south to Saticoy, then east about a mile.
- From the 118 (Ronald Reagan Freeway): exit Reseda Boulevard or Balboa Boulevard, head south to Saticoy.
- From Devonshire Street and the north end: Reseda Boulevard is the straight shot, about 12 minutes.
Parking is on site. Metro buses run down Reseda Boulevard from Northridge to Saticoy.
After hours for Northridge patients: the phone still works
The office is closed after 6:00 PM on Monday and Wednesday, after 7:00 PM on Tuesday and Thursday, after 5:00 PM on Friday, and on most Saturdays and every Sunday. The phone is answered by a real person at every hour. A Northridge toothache at midnight gets your details taken and a held chair for the first opening, usually 9:00 AM the next business day. One Saturday a month we open by appointment; ask which. Swelling that's spreading toward the eye or throat means Northridge Hospital Medical Center on Roscoe first, then us for the tooth. Before you leave Northridge: three things that help
Ibuprofen or acetaminophen, taken as the label directs before the drive, will have started working by the time you park. If a tooth is out, it goes back in the socket or into milk, not a tissue. And the call to (323) 433-6458 happens before the key turns, so the room is ready while you're still on Reseda Boulevard.
One Northridge note: Reseda Boulevard south of Roscoe slows at the hospital signals around shift change. If it's crawling, Lindley Avenue or White Oak Avenue south to Saticoy takes about the same time and is often clearer.

Are you closer to Northridge than the offices up on Devonshire or in Porter Ranch?
For most of Northridge south of Nordhoff, yes: about three miles down Reseda Boulevard. For the north end it's roughly even, and the difference is usually whether a same-day chair is available. Call (323) 433-6458 and the front desk will tell you.
I'm a CSUN student without a car. Can I get there?
Yes. Metro buses run along Reseda Boulevard from the campus area south to Saticoy Street, and the ride is about 15 minutes. Tell the front desk you're coming by bus and they'll hold a time with some margin.
Do you send records to my regular dentist in Northridge?
Yes, with your permission. We treat the emergency and forward a summary and the X-rays so your regular office isn't starting from scratch at your next checkup.
My wisdom tooth flared up during finals. How fast can it come out?
Often the same day, if the X-ray shows a straightforward extraction and the infection isn't severe. Call, get the exam, and our dentist gives you the written plan; if the site needs to settle first, you leave with the infection treated and a held date.
